Dereth Exploration Society Jittes

Excerpted from "A Book of Quests for New Explorers":

Dear Fellow Traveler:

Welcome to the Land of Dereth! I know that your arrival here has been mostly characterized by confusion and chaos. You have been sucked from our home on Ispar and transplanted to an alien land bereft of most of your family and friends and all that you hold dear. This is why we formed the Society, to explore this alien land and make it our own. We have Explorers visiting the length and breadth of Dereth to examine its creatures and wildlife. If we cannot leave Dereth, then we will make it our own.

To that end, we at the Society have decided to provide an adventure for all the new travelers to Dereth. Throughout the civilized lands of Osteth we have scattered Official Red and Gold Letters amongst the hostile creatures that our new adventurers are most prone to encounter, such as Drudges, and other beasts I will leave for you to discover. Occasionally these creatures will leave behind a Red, or even less occasionally, a Gold Letter. Acquiring possession of such a letter is only the first step, however.

We have talked with residents of nine cities located in Osteth. I will list their names and locations later in this note. These residents have agreed to act as Agents of the Society. Each of the nine towns will have a specific Town Stamp hidden in a nearby local dungeon. Find the specific Town Stamp and use it on your Red or Gold Letter. This will create a Stamped Red or Gold Letter, marked with the name of the Town whose Stamp you used.

Sir Alayne, the founder of the Dereth Exploration Society has been kind enough to include amongst his gifts for new adventurers, the Explorer Jitte and the Society Jitte for those of us that favor maces - in particular, the Jitte mace.

As you can see by the images above, these are very capable weapons for a new adventurer starting out in Dereth, and as such, they are recommended for a novice Sho Jitte user.
